New: Mutual Opponents Comparison for Every Upcoming Match

Football stats comparison just got a new angle on BetBallers. Our new Mutual Opponents Comparison page takes every fixture kicking off in the next 24 hours and compares both teams through the opponents they have actually faced in common.

Why compare teams through mutual opponents?

Standard form guides judge two teams on completely different fixture lists — a run of five wins means one thing against the bottom of the table and another against the top. Comparing through common opponents removes that distortion: you see how each side performed against the same teams, which is the closest thing to a like-for-like test before a ball is kicked.

It’s the reasoning sharp bettors already do by hand on our match Comparison tab. Now it’s precomputed for the entire upcoming schedule, in one scannable table.

What the page shows

  • Venue-matched by design — the home team is measured only in its home games, the away team only in its away games, so the comparison reflects the conditions the match is actually played in
  • Last 10 mutual opponents, restricted to games from the last 12 months, so previous seasons don’t distort current form
  • Win–Draw–Loss record for each side against those shared opponents
  • Five statistics, in both directions — Average Goals, Goals-to-shots ratio, Average Total Shots, Average Shots on Target and Average Dangerous Attacks, each shown as For | Against
  • Colour-coded verdicts — every stat line is green, red or yellow showing which team comes out ahead in that category
  • Asian Handicap and Goal Line odds on each row, plus the alert bell to set up notifications for that fixture

Every row links straight to the full match page, and you can star fixtures to your favourites without leaving the list.

Last 5 and Last 10 Averages, Side by Side

Every average statistic on the football schedule now shows the last 5 games alongside the last 10, so you can immediately see when a team’s recent form is pulling away from its longer-term baseline — the kind of divergence that moves markets before the odds catch up.

  • The stat column displays both windows together on separate lines
  • Each dropdown option is labelled clearly as (5 / 10 matches)
  • The filter builder now includes a complete set of 5-match options — every FT and HT average is filterable on either window, so you can build rules such as “last-5 dangerous attacks above X” independently of the 10-game figure

Favourites Straight from AI Tips

The AI Football Predictions table now carries the favourites star on every row, so you can shortlist matches directly from the tips list and pick them up later in your favourites.

Pair the two: start with today’s AI football predictions, then sanity-check each pick against its mutual opponents comparison before you commit.
